DEEP WINTER
i just spent the month of january in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin. hadn't been there for winter in many years. this was a lonnnnnng deep freeze. there were cliffs of snow and canyons of roads, sidewalk, houses; hard to see over the tops. and it stayed...and stayed. but it was beautiful, mainly to me. the best part was the pink and gold twilight that settled down over the late afternoon.
