QUOTES ABOUT MY WORK

"We usually walk in to the Arbor Cafe and say,"oh, a new exhibit."  This time we walked in and said, 'WOW!! A NEW EXHIBIT!!'

I tell you, when we walked in, it blasted me in the face.  First you see the character in it, even from a distance. Then you see crisp, sharp, technically correct images. The composition is great.  Your work is so good.  I just love it. "

Robert Shaw, Ph.D., Chairperson Emeritus, Visual Communication Technology, Chemeketa Community College, Salem, Oregon

LOCAL QUOTES

"...letting you know what a good story teller you are with pictures."  Linda Roper, Creative Cook and Baker, Albany, Oregon

Title.

Sundown on a country school.  Although country schools are relics in our rural scenery, they hold stories for the children who learned their lessons there.  This one sits contentedly now, having been restored by the community to its original health.  For years it was abandoned, and only cattle walked through it.  The floor was gone and the cattle were comfortable in it.  Then the community took over, and now it has painted school children and teacher looking out the window and waving at passersby.

SOAP CREEK SCHOOL

Another abandoned school, this one taken over by artists.  Shows are held here occasionally.  Soap Creek School is in a beautiful part of the rolling hills just north of Corvallis Oregon.
